National Partnerships are groups of Girls Not Brides members who believe in the power of collective action to end child marriage.

Girls Not Brides has National Partnerships in eight countries: Bangladesh, Ghana, Mozambique, the Netherlands, Nepal, Uganda, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Girls Not Brides also works with national coalitions in other countries, including the Tanzania End Child Marriage Network (TECMN), The Zambia Ending Child Marriage NGO Network, and the Zimbabwe Alliance to End Child Marriage.

National Coalitions

National Partnerships

  1. Work with governments to develop, implement and monitor national strategies to end child marriage.
  2. Raising public awareness of child marriage.
  3. Share information and learnings to better tackle child marriage.

National Partnerships have chosen to align their work to the Girls Not Brides global strategy. Each National Partnership must sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Girls Not Brides secretariat.

  1. Connecting them to people and opportunities.
  2. Building their capacity.
  3. Sharing successes of collective action.
  4. Building their profile and visibility.
