This baseline study evaluates the causes of child marriage in North Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia, by exploring local knowledge, attitudes and practices.

It identifies measures taken and challenges faced by different sectors and community initiatives and provides recommendation for practical intervention to sustainably abandon early marriage in the area.
