INSPIRE: seven strategies for ending violence against children

This report developed by the Wolrd Health Organization (WHO) and partners, identifies seven strategies that have shown success in reducing violence against children (VAC).

The INSPIRE report is aimed at anyone working on violence against children (VAC), including within child marriage.

This framework developed by WHO includes seven strategies to address VAC: implementation and enforcement of laws; norms and values; safe environments; parent and caregiver support; income and economic strengthening; response and support services; and education and life skills.

Three of these strategies are expected to reduce child marriage, which is described as an important risk factor for violence against girls.
