In this report, Plan International Australia examines the drivers and harmful consequences of child marriage in the Indo-Pacific region, including its impact on girls’ education, health, safety and economic security.
In particular, the report looks at child marriage in Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia and Indonesia, and details what a comprehensive approach to ending child marriage looks like.
Finally, it provides a clear set of recommendations for the Australian government to be able to better address child marriage, both internationally and domestically.
