Promoting the Right to Education

ActionAid, Girls Not Brides, Right to Education, 10 Dec 2021, 10:00 AM GMT

The 10th of December marks world Human Rights Day. ActionAid, Girls Not Brides, the Right to Education initiative and others will be using this day as an opportunity to highlight:

1. challenges and successes related to the fulfilment of the right to education
2. the importance of ensuring sufficient quality, trained teachers
3. the need for ongoing measures to promote inclusion

The event will also serve to launch ActionAid and the Right to Education Initiative’s newly revised and updated ‘Promoting Rights in Schools’ manual, a framework for human-rights based education programming.
