CESCRA was founded in 2010 to contribute to the realisation of the economic, social and cultural rights of women, girls and marginalised communities. Based in Uganda, its main areas of work include women's lack of land, adequate housing, inheritance and property rights, youth unemployment, child marriage, teenage pregnancy and girls' reproductive health and rights, girls' right to education, improved work environment for women in the informal sector, and women's participation in decision-making processes.
